The Will Rogers Memorial in Claremore is offering, at no cost to schools, a program for Oklahoma history classes and/or American history classes. The program – “Will Rogers was not just a cowboy. . .” – features Dr. Doug Watson, former English professor at OBU, who has performed a historical characterization of Will Rogers around the U.S. since 1997. The program provides a preview essay discussing the life and influence of Rogers, a worksheet, a classroom multi-media presentation, a bit of living history, and an opportunity for questions of and discussion with the scholar-presenter.
