The Will Rogers Follies: A Life in Revue
A Very Special Night

August 2004 Event

Doris "Coke" Meyer of Bartlesville, grand neice of Will Rogers, presents a bouquet of flowers to John Davidson, star of "The Will Rogers Follies, A Life in Revue." Meyer's grandmother's diary told about two girls from Oologah and Chelsea once gave Will Rogers' a bonquet causing him to exclaim "I never got flowers before." Davidson had a similar reaction.

Michelle Lefebvre Carter, former director of the Will Rogers Memorial museum of Claremore and the birthplace ranch near Oologah, and her husband Joe are pictured with Bill Thrash, general manager of Oklahoma Educational Television Authority. Joe Carter plays Wiley Post Thursday during "Claremore night" at the Will Rogers Follies playing in Tulsa. Thrash's wife, Billie, is choreographer of the show.

Doris "Coke" Meyer of Bartlesville, the grand neice of Will Rogers, joined Shari Townner, executive producer of the Theatre Arts Productions' presentation of "The Will Rogers Follies: A Life in Revue." The show is drawing rave reviews for star John Davidson and the cast. Meyer spoke and was honored during opening night curtain call.
