Cast and crew of Tulsa Will Rogers High School “Round-Up A Go-Go:2009!” honored Doris “Coke” Meyer during a performance of the 45th anniversary theatre department presentation.

Mrs. Meyer, great-niece of Will Rogers, attended a performance at the Tulsa high school, built after Will’s death in an Alaskan plane crash.

A bouquet was presented to Mrs. Meyer during intermission.

Directed by Kristina Vassella, one of the acts was “Toe Tappin’ Ropers,” alumni from four decades dating to 1948. They tapped to music from “All That Jazz” and “Will-A-Mania” from “The Will Rogers Follies.”

In 1999, the Roundup was dedicated to the 60th birthday of Will Rogers High.

Linda Bradshaw, a Claremore Will Rogers Memorial Museums Roper docent, is a graduate of Will Rogers High School. Marilynn Baker, longtime Claremore resident, graduated in the first WRHS class after the school opened in 1939.
