2007 Barn Sale

 

Barn sale June 1, 2

A giant two-day barn sale is set June 1 and 2 at the Dog Iron Ranch, Will Rogers’ birthplace. Three area agencies will benefit from sale proceeds  — Oologah Historical Society, Safenet Services Inc. and the ranch picket fence project.

Hundreds of items, primarily excess stock from the Will Rogers Museum gift shop will be offered for sale, according to Sherry Covington, gift shop manager. Will Rogers Heritage Inc. operates the store.

 The barn sale is scheduled 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and  8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

Items include souvenirs with Will Rogers’ labels, saddle blankets, rugs, throws, jewelry, hats, collectible cups and plates, Native American items, toys, Longhorn skulls and glassware.

There are some store fixtures and many other items of interest.

Members of the Oolagah Historical Society have been helping to price and prepare items for the sale.
