Wanda Jackson visits Will Rogers Memorial Museum

Wanda Jackson

Wanda Jackson, venerable rockabilly singer and Hall of Famer, met up with fans at Will Rogers Memorial Museum the day before a stage show at Claremore’s Robson Performing Arts Center. Claremore Mayor Flo Guthrie proclaimed Friday, March 11 as “Wanda Jackson Day in Claremore.” Her husband and daughter joined her at a refreshment table containing a cake created by Juanita Thomas and designed like her signature pink guitar. The singer was pleased to see Greg Crager brought a cover copy and recording of her “Reckless Love Affair” and Judy Hughes had a “Right or Wrong” from her early days on the music scene.
