2007 Dog Iron Days

Surrey with fringe on top

Oologah’s 2007 Dog Iron Days, marking the Oklahoma Centennial, opened with a parade featuring dozens of floats, marching and school reunion groups and the Oologah High School Marching Band. Coming in from the Rogers Dog Iron ranch in their surrey with fringe on top were Clem and Mary Rogers (ranch managers Jim and Debbie Williams) with two of their children Willie and Sallie (the Williams’ grandchildren Dallas “Boots” and Alyssa). E.J. Snider of Chelsea was wagon master. They were followed by a grownup Will (Andy Hogan, Will Rogers Memorial historical guide and Will Rogers interpreter), always with a rope in hand.
